Region of Campania


The Region of Campania is home to Naples, the Amalfi coast, and Mt. Vesuvius. It has rich volcanic soil and a climate in the hills a few miles inland that is ideal for growing grapes.It is home to ancient grape varieties ; Aglianico, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo. These wines are not familiar to most people in the United States. However,they have been grown in Campania for thousands of years.

The wines of Campania are being discovered by the world all over again. These are truly world class wines.

Sorrentino Winery

Sorrentino Winery is located in Boscotrecase, an ancient but dinamic farming town. It has the advantages of an exellent location (400 metres above sea level) and a mild, temperature climate. The rich, fertile volcanic soils of the "Vesuvio" (volcano) have favoured grape-growing since ancient times. The "Azienda Vinicola Sorrentino" - was founded here in 1990 and successfully unites tradition and modem technology, creating a wine producing entity aiming for constant and continual improvement.
