Well known for its branches lined with brilliant yellow flowers in early spring. Plants are fast growing and extremely hardy. Fall pruning and late winter freezes can injure flower buds. Leaves hold until late season and may turn a burgundy color. Upright growth can become 'wild' if not trimmed yearly.
