Friulano is the white wine grape of Friuli. Before this vintage it was know as Tocai Friulano. The Eurpoean Union made Italy change the name.Production area: Friuli DOC Grave. Grape variety: 100% Friulano Vineyards: Spur cordon. Alluvial soil with high concentration of sand and lime. Very permeable. Vinification: After the grape-harvest by hand, at the half of September, there is the soft-pressing of the grapes with the separation of the skins at the controlled temperature ( 18-19? C). The fermentation lasts 5-8 days. The wine is then stored in steel-tanks for 2 or 3 months. Wine : Pale-yellow coloured wine with greenish tinges. Fine, delicate, intense fragrance reminiscent of wild flowers, generous mellow flavour with a race of almond.
